Road trip

The Guernsey Scout network have just returned from a short road trip to the 200th Munich beer festival.

We had stop offs in France, Germany and Belgium racking up more than 4,000km in the bus.

In addition to the cultural experiences on offer at the beer festival we found time to visit a concentration camp, a monastery, a bio-dome, a medieval city and the Normandy landing beaches.

 

Congratulations Pete!

Pete Miller, a leader at the Guernsey Scout Network, got married last Saturday to Laura Breban.

In true Pete style he arrived at the church on his mountain bike with best man Ben, the other leader of our group.

Congratulations to the happy couple and all the best for the future from everyone in the group.

 

Vision 2018

Last weekend all the island leaders, many from network, met at Rue Mainguy HQ to discuss how they want the Scouting movement to change, adapt and improve over the next eight years.

This helped to shape the future of Scouting, not just on a local scale, but also within the wider community.

Many thanks go to those who attended.
